Professional support designed to educate, guide, & inspire growth
Sometimes you don't need a therapist. You need an expert in the room. Whether you're a clinician, an organization, or a creative professional, grief and loss have a way of showing up in unexpected places. That's where I come in.
For mental health professionals
Working with a grieving client and not sure where to start? Grief is one of the most undertreated and misunderstood experiences in clinical work, and most training programs don't give it nearly enough space. I offer consultation for therapists, counselors, and other mental health professionals who want to feel more confident, more grounded, and more effective when grief walks into the room.
For writers and creatives
If you're writing a story that includes death, non-death loss, suicidal ideation, family dynamics, or other mental health themes, you already know the stakes. Get it wrong and you risk reinforcing the very stigma your story was trying to challenge. Get it right and you give your audience something they may never have had before: the feeling of being seen.
You don't have to do it alone. (I promise I'm more fun than a style guide.) How grief and mental health are represented in popular culture is my not-so-pet peeve, because I believe storytelling shapes how people understand their own pain. When a show gets grief right, people feel less alone. When it gets it wrong, they feel more ashamed. That gap is where I work.
What I offer writers and showrunners is a clinical eye that speaks your language. I'm not here to sanitize your story or make it comfortable. I'm here to help you make it authentic. Yes, I will absolutely have feelings about your characters. That's how you know I'm paying attention.
Consultation is available in person or virtually. To inquire, reach out through the contact page.
For organizations and companies
Loss doesn't stay at the door when your employees come to work. Whether you're navigating a death in the workplace, supporting a grieving team member, or trying to build a bereavement policy that actually reflects how grief works, I can help. I consult with HR teams, leadership, and organizations who want to respond to loss with competence and compassion, not just a checklist.
Keynote and Public Speaking
Grief is one of the heaviest topics in the human experience. It is also one of the most universal, most misunderstood, and - in the right hands - one of the most engaging things you can bring into a room.
I know. You're skeptical. Stay with me.
My presentations are clinically grounded, practically useful, and genuinely fun. Not fun in spite of the subject matter, but because of it. Grief is human, and humans are funny, complicated, contradictory, and full of unexpected moments of lightness even in the darkest places. I have a well-documented dark sense of humor, and it turns out that when you're talking about death and loss, that's not a liability. It's an asset.
My job is to create a space where all of that can exist at once: the weight and the laughter, the clinical and the personal, the theory and the takeaway you actually use on Monday morning. I use pop culture, fictional clinical vignettes, and a healthy dose of dark humor to make grief accessible without making it small. Audiences leave with something they didn't have before: a different way of thinking about loss, and the confidence to hold it, in their work or in their lives.
